Over 500 million children survive on less than 1 euro a day. Through lack of funding, another few hundred million receive no schooling.

Socially marginalised children have sad faces. Reflected in their eyes is the despair that comes from the knowledge of a certain future ensnared in the spiral of poverty.


The Fundación Carita Feliz, or "Happy Face Foundation", helps to break this cycle of poverty through integrated education programmes and the adoption of marginalised children.
